David in the Ring with Goliath - Bridge

David, humbled and prepared in the pasture, steps into God’s calling to fight Goliath. Jesus is

the greater David, the One who fought the battle we could not win so that we could get the freedom

we could never earn. We shouldn’t see ourselves as David in this story, but as the fearful Israelites in

need of a champion to save them. Jesus is that Champion.
