Serving Opportunities
At The Journey FBC Lavonia we believe that Jesus Christ gave us countless examples of
service throughout his ministry on earth. Without a doubt Jesus has called us to serve each
other as well. We believe that God has gifted individuals with unique gifts that help build His
Kingdom. There is no formal process that you have to go through. Jump in and start serving
here at The Journey FBC Lavonia!
HOSPITALITY
Our hospitality team consists of greeter who make people feel welcome in our church! Holding open a door, directing people in the parking lot, helping with security, or simply showing someone to an open seat. If you are an outgoing person who loves people, this is the spot for you!

JOURNEY KIDS
If you have a heart for kids ministry and being a part of children growing closer to Jesus, this is the spot for you! There are a few different opportunities to serve in Journey Kids:
Kids worship (1st hour):
Run the worship during the 1st hour for our K-3rd grade kids!
Kids Small group (2nd hour):
During Small group time teach a kids small group K-5th grade
Pre-school/nursery (1st or 2nd hour):
Help teach the pre-school kids or serve our youngest kids in the nursery
Journey Kids on Wednesday Night:
Become a leader for Journey Kids on a Wednesday Night!

If you love working with teenagers and speaking into the lives of the next generation, then we would love to have you volunteer with our student ministry! You can talk to Jacob about being a small group leader on Sunday morning or Wednesday night. You can also serve as another adult presence on Wednesday nights!

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
If you are interested in serving in our Celebrate Recovery Ministry there are multiple ways that you can do that:
Meal Team: Every Monday night there is a free meal that is provided. You can be placed on a rotation to provide the meal.
Leader/Volunteer/Accountability Partner: If you have a heart for helping people with hurts/habits/hang-ups walk through recovery, you can serve on Monday nights as a leader or accountability partner.
Childcare: Childcare is a huge part of what happens on Monday nights. You can come on Monday Night's and help watch the kids so that their parents can attend the program.
