The Cycle - Judges 1&2 - Traditional

Failure to do what God commands leads to compromise which results in a failure to experience what God has for His people

The Cycle: Israel follows God - Israel compromises and falls into sin - Israel experiences God’s

discipline - Israel cries out for deliverance - God raises up a judge to bring relief -(repeat)

Result of this cycle: Judges 2:10 - a generation that did not know the Lord or the work

that he had done for Israel. We must remain faithful to God in our generation for the sake of the next.
